- Daily cleaning of all frequently touched surfaces in the workplace, such as workstations, countertops, and doorknobs.
- Housekeeping should use cleaning agents that are commonly used and follow the directions on the label
- Products should be EPA-registered and perform both cleaning and disinfection
- Products with short dwell times are preferred to ensure effective cleaning with minimal wait
- Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for each product used should be provided to the respective facilities department before use. All cleaning product SDSs used at your locations should be sent via email to safety@fox.com with a note regarding the location of use for each product. These will be hosted on an easily-accessible location that employees can access and review production details
- If SDSs are not on-hand now, they should be provided by the housekeeping vendor as soon as possible.
- No additional disinfection beyond routine cleaning is recommended. There are exceptions that may bear further consideration according to your needs. These locations include:
- Production control rooms
- Master control
- Operations centers
- Post production areas. These areas tend to have multiple users throughout the day and are especially difficult to clean and disinfect since hitting the wrong button or switch could affect broadcasts or production.
- Provide disposable wipes so that commonly used surfaces (for example, doorknobs, keyboards, remote controls, desks) can be wiped down by employees before each use.
- Local facilities departments should take the lead on purchasing cleaning and disinfecting supplies for their areas
- Facilities departments should plan to deploy a variety of hand sanitizers in the form of dispensers and pump bottles in key areas
- Disinfecting wipes should be ordered and made available for employee use at their respective work areas or offices.
- Local points of contact take the lead on posting CDC-developed personal hygiene posters in relevant work areas such as bathrooms, break rooms, etc. The posters can be found here.
